Apparently I'm a little impatient...

Okay, so I couldn't wait for this weekend to show off McKay's totally awesome costume! It's so fun and he looks so cute shakin' his money maker in it! Thanks to Dan for carving the face. It's so nice to have an artist on tap.

Oh, and I helped my brother get ready for a Halloween party a few nights ago. He is one hot trashy lady! I especially love the chest hair and beard.

UPDATE: Just so we know what everyone looked like since my lazy arse never did another post...

Carson was so freaked out by his brother's costume. It took forever for us to get him to look at the camera and not Mason's scary face.

I've decided I get excited about silly things

Just as a heads up, I finished McKay's Halloween costume today. It is so freakin cute!! Watch for the Halloween pics this weekend. Weird of me to let you know so early, right? Well, as I said....I get excited about silly things!

This is why I am a mom...

I just had the funniest conversation with McKay and I had to share. McKay ALWAYS has something to say as some of you may know. Tonight we talked about what he wants to be when he grows up. Here's how it went:

Me: You should be a doctor McKay because you are such a good memorizer.
McKay: No. I wanna be a dodgeball guy.
Me: Yeah? Do you play at school?
McKay: Nope, I saw them on tv. But maybe when I get fired from there, then I'll be a doctor. After that I want to be an astronaut. Then I want to be a firefighter. I know you have to be strong to be a firefighter because when you turn on that water, boy does that hose get heavy! After that I want to be a 7-11 guy. Then I want to be a missionary. How old are you when you are a missionary?
Me: (barely able to talk through my laughing) 19.
McKay: Hmmm..... 1, 2, 3, 4,....(counts to 19) Man, that's gonna take me a hundred years. That's okay. After that I want to be a car fixer. Can you give me some examples of car fixing?

I couldn't give him any examples because I was laughing so hard. I love my boys!

Holy Crap

So we had the most fun weekend in California. It was so good to spend some time with just Adam. I forget how much fun we have together when there are no kids fighting for our attention. The hotel we stayed at in Riverside is called The Mission Inn. It is amazing! It was so huge with so many funny hallways that lead to random tiny doors that lead to nowhere. It was built in 1903 and patterened after the 21 California Missions. It was so beautiful! There were 4 weddings on the Saturday that we were there. While Adam was in his interviews, I went and watched one of the couples taking photos. I wanna take wedding photos again! It was just so fun. I woke up at 7am on the one day I had to sleep in because I was just so excited to be in Cali with Adam and have nothing to do all day. I did take a delicious bubble bath, which is hard to come by when you are 6 feet tall. All in all, it was a perfect weekend. I forgot my camera but snapped a few shots on my camera phone. Hardly does the place justice...

Oh...and a special thanks to my cousin Liz for watching the boys all weekend. She kept the boys happy and the house clean. Who knew that was even possible??

I can't stop!

Now that I started I can't stop! I want to play catch up and show you some of the awesomeness that ensued over the summer......

McKay turned 6 and we had a way fun "Beach Party". Gramma Janna and Grampa Kenny flew in from Cali just for his birthday. So fun.

We decided we need to rent Adam out at other parties becasue the kids had sooo much fun with him.

Gramma Janna made Mckay the Worlds Best Sand-Castle Cake (complete with Jell-o moat). The most important part, Darth Vader.

We did lots and lots and lots of running through the sprinklers this summer. We've never had a yard before so this was a first for us.

Carson, not really a fan.

And then, both of the kids started school. Mckay started first grade, and Mason started preschool. Mason has never been to preschool on account of he won't freaking go to the bathroom on the toilet, so this was a huge step for us. 4 1/2 and I think he's finally potty trained.

I'm so bored....

Adam is gone for a few days to Arizona. So weird to sleep alone at night. I am NOT a fan! He's just glad he missed the first snowfall of the year. I would be bummed. It's actually pretty when there isn't heaps and heaps of it that I have to shovel.
