Triathlon and other updates.

I am on fire! Three posts in 9 months. Man, look at me go! There was so much I wanted to blog about too. For instance... Adam went sky diving, graduated law school and did a full on Ironman all in the span of one week. That deserves a little something, right? Well I only had pictures of the graduation so that's what you got. I was gonna come back and post about the rest later, but now I'm too lazy. It's sad really, because even his best friend found the time to mention it. So now you will never know about that, or the fun week I spent at my aunt's house while Adam studied for the bar, or the fun summer trips we took or the first day of school for my kids or any other stuff that happened. I'm having a baby in a week, so let's be honest...there will be no catching up. As I tell my kids, you get what you get and you don't throw a fit.

But, let me just tell you what is happening 'round here right now. Baby boy number four is set to join our family any day now. I'm 39 weeks along and we are way excited to hold this tiny dude. 4 boys will just be so great. My kids are ready to hold Baby Ian. Adam is done with all things law school and we are waiting to hear the results of the bar. McKay just did his one and only triathlon for the season on Saturday. He is just so freakin cute about it. He had a solid support crew between my family and the Blairs. I actually have pictures of that, thanks to one J Blair. Check out his awesome form. How awesome is he that he was totally passing kids?! (I love everything about this picture...) Also, my sister is getting married in a few weeks! Her fiance finally made it here from Ghana. Poor girl waited a year, but he seems way worth the wait. He's sure a nice guy. This is him... (he's in the middle, staring at her adoringly)Mason just started 1st grade and Carson starts preschool in a few days. It's weird to have just Carson and me home during the day but it's fun. It will be nice to have just me and baby time a few hours a week once that all happens too. And that's what's happening in my life. Here is a nice pregnant belly pic for the curious.

He did it, and he is amazing!!

So I can't believe how fast it actually went. It has been a great three years, but hot damn does it feel good to be done! Adam is amazing and I am just so freaking proud of him. There are lots of horror stories out there about how bad law school is for the wife, so let me just set the record straight. For me it was a lot of things. It was tough, but it was fun, sometimes it was easy, it was rewarding, it was overwhelming, and overall, it's not so bad. I can't imagine what it was like for Adam but I think it was a great experience and I am just so proud of how well Adam did. He kicked law school's arse. I can't even think of a time when he complained about it. I'm sure there were times, but I honestly don't remember. That could be because I have the memory of a goldfish, so don't judge me.
We met so many great people and made some good friends. I love you Adam. You amaze me everyday!

Bet you thought I was dead.

Well no, I'm not. But boy howdy has this semester been busy. I just thought I would pop in to say that besides taking threee classes and trying to get Adam all finished up with law school, and trying to keep my three amazing boys alive, I also got all knocked up and I have been freaking sick this time around (and don't say that means it's a girl...i've heard it enough!!) so I have just been barely keeping my head above water. Maybe someday soon I will find time to blog, but as of now, I have nine hundred other things that need to be done, so hop off my rice about it.
We'll get there when we get there!

While mom's away...

the dad lets the kids break their arms.

Well, I guess only one kid broke his arm, but still.

I was off on my annual cookie weekend in St. George when this happened. I'm so glad that I have an amazing aunt that could step in and take care of the kids so Adam could sit at the hospital for 5 hours with Mason. Good times. Thanks Joan!
As for cookie weekend, I get together with some friends right before Christmas and do a fun weekend where we swap cookies that we bake. We make 7 dozen of whatever kind we pick, and come home with 7 dozen of a delicious variety. We shop and watch movies and eat-out and sleep-in, all the good things that you can't do with little kids at home. I forgot my camera, as usual. My sister had hers so I was so excited to get some pictures from her, but instead I got an African virus. Thanks Stef! So this is all you get, the sorting of the cookies...

Oh my goodness!!

I did it! I have finished this crazy semester of school. I took my last final this morning and I am just so happy to be done. I know school will be even crazier once I am actually in the program, but I'll worry about that when I get there. I have absolutely no desire to catch you up on the last few months of my life because there was nothing that went on besides school, my house falling apart, my children getting behind, my husband getting lost in the laundry, you know, those sorts of things. I don't want to dwell on the fact that if I'm trying to be a good student, I can't do anything else. I'm working on that though, so hopefully next semester won't be as bad.

I have been dying to get these family photos up since we took them, back in the fall, so here they are! Thanks to Tonja for being such a great friend and taking them for us.
I totally sucked at this one, but Adam looks awesome. My favorite part was where he dropped carson at the end of this one...I can't believe we got one of this kid smiling! This one is the most amazing of the bunch, because you see this rare smile. We actually got a few. Yay!
Hopefully you will see more of me from now on. Well, maybe not me, but more of my family/life.
And for good measure...
