Last, but not least!

I'm getting all caught up on my blogging, so don't judge. Here are the pics from the Christmas party we had with my family. Kiel was here from NY for a nice Christmas surprise visit. It was so rad to have everyone all together. That doesn't happen very often.

That's then end of our Christmas festivities! Merry Christmas!

Apparently this is my favorite part of traveling...

I had a lot of shots like this....This one is my favorite. He wasn't feeling good and didn't have time to get good and comfortable before he fell asleep.

There is just something so great about sleeping children.

Christmas in California

We had so much fun in Cali for Christmas. I am sortof a bonehead and never remember to take my camera when we go places so I mostly just got pictures when we were at home but we did so many other fun things too. Christmas Eve at Stephen and Carmen's was a blast. Hopefully she will post some of those pics on her blog.

The Christmas Eve Jammies

All of their cousins. How freaking cute!!

I hate winter....except for this!

We headed down to California last Saturday but my kids had been begging and begging to play in the snow, and I figured what better time then when I am trying to clean the house, do the laundry, get every packed and ready to go? This is what we did right before we left. The kids were hilarious. McKay was so nice to pull his brother's around on the sled.

For the love of!!

I love to see my California family at Christmas time. What I do not love is packing up our whole Christmas and transporting it to California. Wowza! It's a pain. It's also pretty gnarly packing it up to come home. Anyway, we are leaving tomorrow for our wonderful week in Cali. The whole Kaas family will be there and there will be merriment galore. If I could just get over this issue of packing the car, the whole trip would be nothing but fun.

Adam's brother Nathan and his wife Devin and their three kids were at our house Monday and Tuesday of this week. We had so much fun! We went up to Heber and rode The Polar Express, which the kids loved. McKay got up and sang a Hanukkah song (so weird) when they asked for people to sing their favorite carols. It was pretty funny. I forgot my camera (as usual) but my awesome sister-in-law took some totally sweet pics for me, so I'll post them when she gets them to me. It was good to see them and I'm sure glad I sent them off with the pink-eye bug. I think my kids always time their sickness for when people are at our house, so if you ever want to come stay, be warned.

UPDATE: Here's the pics from Devin....
I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!! Try to listen to lots of Christmas music and drink lots of Stephen's Hot Chocolate!

Oh....and here's a fun Christmas memory of mine. Gingerbread houses with the Thomsons.

You're doing it Peter!!

If you have ever seen the movie Hook, you would know that line. It's one of my top five favorite lines from a movie. Hook had a lot of good ones.

But, back to the point of this post....I'm doing it, Peter! Okay, sorry. Enough with the Peter thing.

I'm going back to school!! YAY!! I'm way nervous but also very excited. I am signed up for some prerequisite classes that I need to get into the Nursing Program down at SLCC. I have always loved the hospital (weird, I know) and helping people feel better so I am excited to head down this path. Since I can only go part time for now, the job part feels really far away but at least I'm doing it!

And, here's an awesome picture, just for you!

Werid.....

So, I was pretty sure that everyone knew that my little family was going to be staying in Utah after law school. I thought I had told everyone. Well, not so much, as it turns out. I was talking to my cousin Peggy and she had no idea. Here's where the weird part comes in. I see Peggy like twice a month and talk to her on the phone almost every week. That's a lot of phone calls and hanging out sessions since the official decision came mid-October. Made me start to wonder who else I hadn't told. Anyhoo....here it is for all to see, so if you don't know next time I talk to you, it's your own fault! :)

Adam accepted a summer internship at Kirton and McConkie for the summer of 2009. At the end of the summer, the law firms usually offer jobs to their summer associates to come back after law school. With the way the economy is going, we hear more and more companies are not offering jobs to the summer associates. So, I guess we just keep our fingers crossed that Kirton makes Adam an offer, but who wouldn't want this amazing man working for them??

Thanksgiving...served up Christofferson style.

We had a way fun Thanksgiving this year. It has been a few years since I had one with my family. Well, I actually don't remember last year even a tiny bit so that could be a totally false statement. But nonetheless, this year was just so dang fun. Everyone was here at my house which was surprisingly low stress. I kept asking my mom when the stress would kick in, but it just never did. It was a way fun, and totally exhausting day. We will always have the memories of having to break-in to my neighbor's house to get our ham from her oven.

After we ate, we all gathered around for some serious Dance Dance Revolution competitions. I'm not even embarassed to admit that I am second best in my family. Tim is by far the best and my mom is right on my heels. She'll probably be better than me soon. It makes me so happy that Adam gets up there an shakes his money maker too!!
(my favorite part about this video is watching McKay in the background.....that kid's got moves!)

Dan had his own idea of fun....
